"Plant Archetypes is a series of work that originated in my subconscious through the inspiration I found in the seasonal changeover of our garden. The subliminal process of plant awakening through the forces of nature is robust and vigorous but, at the same time, fragile and pristine. The coded underlying structures of our age-old planet have formed archetypal skulls for the life that sustains it. Through millenniums, shapes and forms got imbedded in the ebb and flow of nature’s ecosystems, carrying a message system that evokes life energy timeously in the delicate plant world around us. Answering to an universal plan, each element works together in minuscular precision to spawn the new season’s leaves, fruit, flowers, and seed. That becomes dried muck, hard bark, and dusty particles: the nourishment for the next season. Undisturbed, always patiently waiting for an indicator, a catalyst for growth."
